There are still two weeks left in December but that hasn’t stopped Pokémon GO from preparing for 2021. They’re already giving us details of what’s going to happen in the January Community Day. Set to be featured is none other than the Superpower Pokémon Machop.
This Pokémon lost the chance to appear in the February Community Day. The good news is that all the resilience has finally paid off and Machop gets to star in its own Community Day.
The next Community Day is on January 16, 2021. The event begins at 11:00 AM and lasts until 5:00 PM of the same day, both at local time.
Before we go into the feature, the bonuses of the event include 3× Catch Stardust and Incense activated during the event lasting for three hours.
The features of the January Community Day are:
- Machop appears more frequently in the wild.
- Those lucky enough could encounter a Shiny version.
- Evolve Machoke during the event or up to two hours afterward to get a Machamp that knows Payback.
- Take a few snapshots during Community Day for a surprise.
- There’s going to be a special one-time-purchase Machop Community Day Box which is available for 1,280 PokéCoins and features:
- Elite Charged TM
- four Incense
- four Star Pieces
- 30 Ultra Balls
There’s also a Machop Community Day–exclusive Special Research story titled “Straight to the Top, Machop!” However, it’s going to need a ticket priced at $1.
But Trainers who buy the Pokémon GO Tour: Kanto event ticket by January 13 can get access to this Special Research story for free.
2021 Events So Far
Speaking of 2021, there will be a new global event in February 2021. To make it more exciting, they're bringing everyone back to where it all began, and it’s none other than the Kanto region. Trainers can expect to meet the first 150 Pokémon discovered in this region. It’s set on February 20 and lasts for 12 hours. Learn more about the global event here.
While no other details have been revealed, the February Community Day is scheduled for February 7, 2021. Like with the January Community Day, Trainers can get a free ticket to this event if they buy the Pokémon GO Tour: Kanto event ticket by February 3.
