September is about a week away but this early, Pokémon GO has already revealed who’s going to be featured for that month’s Community Day. It’s none other than the Sea Otter Pokémon, Oshawott.
The Community Day will be on September 19 from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. On this day, the bonuses are:
- 3× Catch XP
- Incense activated during the event lasts for three hours
- Lure Modules activated during the event lasts for three hours
What to Expect
Here are the features of the September Community Day:
- Oshawott appears more frequently in the wild.
- This Pokémon is going to be attracted to Rainy Lure Modules.
- Trainers lucky enough may encounter a Shiny Oshawott.
- Evolve Dewott (Oshawott’s Evolution) during the event or up to two hours and get a Samurott that knows the Charged Attack Hydro Cannon.
- Samurott can now learn the Charged Attack Razor Shell.
- This attack is available for Samurott to learn even after the event has concluded.
- Take a few snapshots during Community Day for a surprise.
- A special one-time-purchase Community Day Box is available for 1,280 PokéCoins.
- This one features:
- 50 Ultra Balls
- 5 Lucky Eggs
- 5 Rainy Lure Modules
- 1 Elite Fast TM
- This one features:
- Get Oshawott-inspired stickers by spinning PokéStops, opening Gifts, and purchasing them from the in-game shop.
- For $1, get access to the Oshawott Community Day–exclusive Special Research story, from Scalchops to Seamitars.
- This Special Research includes a Rainy Lure Module as one of its rewards.
Night Theme
Last week, Pokémon GO shared the lyrical version of the Night Theme. The original song was created by Junichi Masuda, the same person responsible for many Pokémon video game songs. The lyrical version, meanwhile, was produced by Ed Goldfarb, who also composed some of the music featured in the anime series. The vocals were done by Haven Paschall and Ben Dixon.
