Pokémon The Movie 2017 To Have Special Ho-Oh Distribution In Japan Later This Year

It seems the 2017 Pokémon Movie will see the distribution of more than just Marshadow and the Ash-Hat Pikachu when it releases in Japan later this year. The latest issue of CoroCoro revealed that a special Ho-Oh distribution will take place in Japan this year.

According to the magazine -- via Serebii -- the Ho-Oh distribution will happen later in the year and details surrounding this special Legendary Pokémon are still unknown.

This special Ho-oh may come with its hidden ability, Regenerator, or a move that it normally cannot learn. There’s also a possibility of a Ho-Oh specific Z-Move like the one Mew received when it was made available with the Pokémon Bank update, but that’s unlikely. It would have been found in the Sun and Moon data when it was mined.

It could also be distributed in its shiny form so there are a lot of ways this Ho-Oh could be special, but we’ll just have to wait and see until next month’s CoroCoro. Also, until the English version of this Pokémon movie is announced, we won’t know when the rest of the world will receive these special distributions. But they will come eventually, so be patient.
