The free games coming to PlayStation Plus subscribers in July have been confirmed by Sony. Like in previous months, there will be a selection of games coming to PS3, PS4 and PS Vita gamers, but this month features an extra bonus game in celebration of the launch of PlayLink.
PS4
The first game coming in July for PS4 is Until Dawn. This survival horror game sees players taking on the role of eight friends trapped in a cabin in the middle of the woods. There are a ton of different endings to Until Dawn, so keep playing again and again… if you dare.
The second game coming to PS4 is Telltale’s Game of Thrones. This will include all six chapters of Telltale’s take on House Forrester during the War of the Five Kings. It’s also been confirmed that Game of Thrones will be returning for a second season, so now’s the perfect time to get caught up.
As an added bonus, the game That’s You! will also be free to download from July 4 to Oct. 24. This party game features PlayLink technology, meaning smartphones and tablets can be connected to the game as an extra controller. This allows anyone with a phone to join in the fun.
The PS Vita game Don’t Die, Mr. Robot, detailed below, is also compatible on PS4 via Cross Buy.
PS3
The first game coming in July for PS3 gamers is Tokyo Jungle. This strange game is set in a version of Tokyo where humanity has disappeared. This allows for trees and plants to creep back into the city, as well as a wide variety of wild creatures. Players control different animals including pomeranians, deer and even lions.
The second PS3 game is Darkstalkers Resurrection. This fighting game is actually a compilation of two different games: Night Warriors: Darkstalkers Revenge and Darkstalkers 3. Both games have gotten the HD treatment as well as the addition of modern-day features like online play, trophies to unlock and much more.
PS Vita
The first game for PS Vita in July is Element4l. This 2D platformer has players switching between four different elements in order to complete each level. The game also comes with a fantastic soundtrack by Mind Tree.
The last game coming for free to PS Vita with PS+ in July is Don’t Die, Mr. Robot. This bullet-hell-kinda, twin stick shooter-kinda game has players controlling a robot who loves to eat exploding fruit and not be killed by monsters. Players must try and get all the fruit possible without getting killed by lasers, crawling worm things or anything else. Don’t Die, Mr. Robot is also free on the PS4 via Cross Buy.
