The EU Six Invitational Qualifiers match between Team Secret and Tempra just concluded. The match was played in a best of three series.
The first map of the series was Clubhouse. Tempra used some impressive strategies for the basement defense. They included operators like Castle, Wamai, Ela, Smoke, and Jager. The shields placed on the church hallway along with a variation of SSG roam made it nearly impossible for Secret to clear. Voy from Tempra managed to get 21 kills but still lost the game. Secret won the first map with an 8-6 scoreline.
Tempra took the second map, Coastline with a 7-4 scoreline. The map is heavy on frags. So, usually, it wasn't that interesting to watch. And to boot, neither team showed any jaw-dropping plays.
The decider map was Oregon. It was pretty fun to watch as we got to see Tempra play solid on utility using frag-heavy operators. Tempra played decent on the attack, resulting in a 3-3 split. It was reasonable since Oregon is a defender-sided map. But when Tempra switched to defense, they were nearly unstoppable.
Tempra didn’t really show anything new. Yet they used operators like Frost and Alibi to bait the enemies into pushing them. This operator lineup worked quite efficiently. It resulted in 15 kills after the support player, Shiinka, fragged out enemies. Secret only managed to get one attack round, which made it impossible for them to win the final map.
Tempra won the qualifier match against Secret with a 7-4 scoreline. The finals between MKERS and Tempra will be an odd match to watch, with all the pro league teams knocked out.
