It’s time for another weekly update for Red Dead Online, and for this iteration Rockstar has some very exciting surprises in store for Twitch Prime users as well as the dedicated players who complete daily challenges.
Last week’s update was a big one, and was the spark for a celebratory week that saw a ton of bonuses across various missions, sprinkled with big discounts here and there. While things have quieted down a bit from the previous week’s festivities, there are still some major surprises to be had with the official announcement of the Explorer Care Package and various Twitch Prime benefits.
First off, let’s take a closer look at the incoming reward that is the Explorer Care Package. Since Red Dead Online’s inception, there have been a lot of players striving towards completing the daily challenges doled out by Rockstar every day. Players who take the time to roam the frontier in search of people to help, game to hunt and herbs to cook to complete their daily lineup will see themselves rewarded with Explorer Care Package.
Each day of the week, everyone gets presented with seven new challenges – players looking to earn the Explorer Care Package need only to complete a total of 10 Daily Challenges before July 16 in order to get it. The Package itself is quite helpful, including 60 Poison Arrows, which you can use to quickly hunt down both beast and man; 100 rounds of Varmint Cartridges, which are helpful for smaller game like rabbits; Thyme, Wild Mint and Oregano, which help out with fortifying your Dead Eye, Health and Stamina respectively; Prime Beef Joint and Tender Pork Loin to put those herbs to good use; Live Crickets and Live Worms for fishing; and 5 tins of Jolly Jack’s, which help to fully restore your Dead Eye.
Some new items are also up for grabs at the Wheeler, Rawson and Co. Catalogue, including one of the permanent offerings, the double-breasted machine sewn red Durham Coat. You can also snag the Riggs Fringe Coat that sports a short cape with layered fringing, as well as the Fieldwork Hat which will keep you covered from the sun and elements. Also available for a limited time are two hats: the Cossack Hat, and the Gardenia Hat.
This week also sees the official support for Twitch Prime rewards coupled with the Social Club Account. You may claim your benefits between now and July 19, which includes RDO$300 and the Superior Ammo Bundle, which contains:
- 30 x Dynamite Arrows
- 60 x Incendiary Buckshot Ammo
- 30 x Volatile Fire Bottles
- 200 x Express Pistol Ammo
- 200 x Express Revolver Ammo
- 200 x Express Repeater Ammo
- 200 x Express Rifle Ammo
