The Samsung Galaxy Note 7 may be announced in less than a month and detail leaks for the smartphone are surfacing almost daily. Not only have new, live shots of the device been shared, but there are also reports of what the smartphone might cost. Since spec rumors suggest the device may be Samsung’s most advanced to date, consumers shouldn’t expect it to come cheap.
The Galaxy Note 7 could sell for €849 in Europe once available, according to SamMobile . The Galaxy Note 7 would be €50 more than the Galaxy S7 Edge, which is also a phablet with a 5.5-inch display. However, the Galaxy Note 7 is expected to have a 5.7-inch display. It also includes other special features not found on the Galaxy S line, such as the S-Pen stylus. Such features have been among the reasons why the Galaxy Note line is more expensive.
Several publications have noted that the price directly converts around $910; however, Samsung typically prices its device similarly in dollars to what it does in Euros. If the price is accurate, the Galaxy Note 7 would likely cost around $849 in the U.S.
Meanwhile, tech evangelist Steve Hemmerstoffer , shared several images of handsets he claims are the Galaxy Note 7 on Monday. The images appear to show prototype handsets and the device’s curved display and design, which is similar to the Galaxy S7 Edge, but looks a little more rectangular than the S7 Edge.
Reports indicate that the Galaxy Note 7 may be available in Black Onyx, Silver Titanium and Blue Coral color options, but the device could also be available in pink, according to SlashGear . The publication shared a press image, originally uploaded to the Weibo social media platform, which includes a pink handset alongside the black, silver and blue models.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 7 is expected to be announced Aug. 2 and may be available for purchase as soon as Aug. 15.
