A new update has been released for The Sims 4 which introduces new ways to play: Scenarios and Sims Delivery Express. Of course, there are the usual bug fixes.
In a post, the development team revealed that they’re always working to offer new and interesting ways to play the game. Also in this new update, the team came up with a new method to deliver free content and features.
Complete the Scenario
Scenarios are situations that allow Simmers to participate and work toward an outcome for their Sims. Not only are there different outcomes per Scenario but there are many ways to achieve the outcomes. Simply put, there’s more than one way to finish a Scenario. Each Scenario has a theme but what actually happens is up to players.
For this update, two Scenarios are introduced. The first is about Making Money. In this one, players have their bank account reset when they just moved in a lot. The difficulty increases if the Sim chooses between an Unfurnished Lot versus a Furnished Lot. To complete the scenario, players need to earn one million Simoleons.
The second is Finding Love After a Break-Up. This Scenario takes place after a Sim has broken up with their significant other. The goal is to bring back love either by looking for a new one or fixing the broken romance. So which one do you choose?
Prepare for a Delivery
The Sims Delivery Express or SDX is a way for the development team to deliver content to the base game. Some details include:
- A Sims Delivery can be a Create A Sim or a Build Mode asset.
- A Sims Delivery can be small pockets of gameplay that don’t require a Base Game update to be accessible by all.
- A Sims Delivery can also be tiny fixes that don’t need a Base Game update to release.
- A Sims Delivery is always Free.
Bug Fixes
- General
- Fixed an issue that made Toddlers walk with animations that were not quite fitting for a Toddler. The Bonsai is now properly potted and trimmed which solved its text attachment issues.
- Its text should be displayed properly in Build Mode.
- Some of the variants for the Mega Stacked Stone wall texture have been fixed in Build Mode as well to display proper text.
- Spa Day
- Sims should no longer be practicing Yoga with shoes on.
- Industrial Loft
- The “I Took a Welding Class Once” Double Bed has been adjusted to show Stress and Comfort values as well as a reduced price.
The Sims 4 is available on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
