While we’ve seen teases there will be a Brock Lesnar match against Bill Goldberg in our near future, it seems things are in motion for this to take place at this year’s Survivor Series. This information comes from both the Wrestling Observer and former WWE announcer Jim Ross.
News of this match shouldn’t come as a surprise to those who follow along with the development of WWE 2K17. In a video on Facebook, Lesnar can be seen saying “Hey Bill, you’re next.”
Not to back away from a challenge, Goldberg responded. Goldberg appeared at this year’s gamescom to promote WWE 2K17, and said he wants to be back in the ring as much as his fans do. “Brock knows what would happen, Brock knows where I live,” he said. “Brock knows I own a muay thai gym and he can show up any time he wants. The same thing is going to happen to him that happened in 2004.”

While everything in WWE is subject to change, and can change on a moment’s notice, it seems like it’s just a matter of time before we hear a formal announcement. With two prominent wrestling insiders saying it’s going to happen, that’s a pretty safe bet to take.
Survivor Series is taking place this year on Nov. 20 in Toronto, Canada. So far, nothing has been confirmed for the show. Goldberg will be appearing on ESPN Wednesday, so an announcement could be coming then.
