The battle royale game in the World of Darkness universe, Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodhunt, is less than 24 hours away. The game will arrive exclusively on PC via Steam on September 7. The game is free-to-play, so you don’t have to worry about spending money. However, before you go downloading the game, make sure that your PC meets the system requirements.
The requirements have now been updated twice. The previous requirements were very high, deterring potential players. But the updated version appeared to have significantly lowered the requirements. It seemed they spent some time trying to optimize the game.
Previously, 16 GB of RAM was a must, but now, the minimum required memory is 8 GB. You will also need 20 GB of free storage space. SSD is highly recommended, however, an HDD will do the job.
You can check out the requirements below.
- OS: Windows 10 64-bit
- Processor: Intel i5-7400/AMD Ryzen 1300X or better
- Graphics: Nvidia GTX 970/Radeon RX 580 or better
- DirectX: Version 11
- Network: Broadband Internet connection
- OS: Windows 10 64-bit
- Processor: i7-8700K/Ryzen 5 3600X or better
- Memory: 16 GB RAM
- Graphics: Nvidia GTX 1080/Radeon RX Vega 64 or better
- DirectX: Version 11
The system requirements are available on Steam. Again, the game is free-to-play. But do keep in mind that it will be released in an Early Access state so expect bugs and issues here and there. While there are in-game purchases, the premiums are more on aesthetics. You don't need to pay to win in this game.
Bloodhunt might not be the proper sequel you are desperately waiting for, but it will help pass the time. The upcoming major sequel, Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2, is still in development with no release date in sight.
