It’s that time of the month again in Pokémon Go when Trainers need to vote on what Pokémon is going to be featured in the monthly Community Day. It’s not just going to be one month, but two. That means the Pokémon that gets the most votes is going to be featured in September, with the runner-up to be featured in October. Voting is going to be from August 22 to August 23 through Twitter.
For this weekend’s voting, the candidates are:
- Charmander
- Charmander can be evolved to Charmeleon, which can then be evolved to Charizard.
- Charizard has the Dragon-type attack Dragon Breath.
- Dragon Breath gives Charizard a Fast Attack that dishes out damage quickly, and the attack is super effective against Dragon-type Pokémon.
- Caterpie
- Caterpie can be evolved to Metapod, which can then be evolved to Butterfree.
- Butterfree has the Flying-type attack Hurricane.
- Hurricane offers Butterfree a powerful Flying-type Charged Attack to further strengthen its matchups against Fighting-, Grass-, and Bug-type Pokémon.
- Grimer
- Originally discovered in the Kanto region, Grimer appears in the wild and hatches from Eggs.
- Alolan Grimer appears in Raid Battles.
- Evolve Grimer or Alolan Grimer to get Muk or Alolan Muk that knows the Fire-type attack Fire Punch.
- Fire Punch is the first Fire-type attack available for Muk and Alolan Muk, giving them a Charged Attack option that not only charges quickly but also hits Steel-type Pokémon for supereffective damage.
- Porygon
- Porygon can be evolved into Porygon2, which can be evolved to Porygon-Z.
- Porygon-Z has the Normal-type attack Tri Attack.
- This attack is going to be new to Pokémon Go and, when used, has a chance of decreasing the opposing Pokémon’s Attack and Defense.
So how can Trainers vote? The poll is going to be posted on Pokémon Go’s official Twitter account here starting on August 22 at 9:00 PM EDT. Trainers can cast their votes until August 23 at 9:00 PM.
Winners are going to be announced shortly after voting ends. The Pokémon that gets the most votes is going to be featured on September Community Day, which is on September 20. The one that gets the second-most votes will be featured for the October Community Day, which is on October 17.
