For fans of the The Walking Dead , the season 6 premiere will be romantic as it falls on Valentine’s Day as well. To commemorate the two celebratory occasions, Hallmark released four exclusive eCards with a The Walking Dead theme.
The four zombie-themed cards have pun-tastic titles like: Beauty Over Brains, Love You To Pieces, Eat You Up and Give You My Heart. The video cards show text, an artistically gruesome image and ends with a friendly reminder about AMC series’ mid-season premiere. Each card has a note; one in particular reads: "I like you for your beauty and your brains — but mostly your brains."
The mid-season premiere, titled Start to Finish , will be far from romantic. The episode will pick up where the mid-season finale left off: the zombies have swarmed Alexandria.
“The first half of the season we introduced the quarry and the fact that the walkers had escaped from the quarry, and then we followed our group through all the trials and tribulations of trying to get back to Alexandria, protect Alexandria, and protect each other,” said executive producer Greg Nicotero to Entertainment Weekly. “And episode 9, basically, takes all of these various storylines and slams everything together in an epic man against the undead battle that is unprecedented in the history of The Walking Dead .”
And there will also be plenty of deaths.
“So many people die,” teases comic creator Robert Kirkman to Variety.
The Walking Dead ’s mid-season premiere at 9 p.m. EST on Sunday, Feb. 14 on AMC
