Much of American Horror Story Season 6 remains a mystery even after its premiere, with no synopsis or individual trailers released for episode 2, which airs at 10 p.m. EDT Wednesday.
FX introduced My Roanoke Nightmare last Wednesday, featuring a couple moving into a spooky home in Roanoke, NC from Los Angeles for safety reasons. However, their dream house is already showing signs of being too good to be true.
Sarah Paulson and Cuba Gooding Jr. play reenactors telling the story of the ill fated homeowners, Shelby and Matt Miller. Lily Rabe and Andre Holland play the real Shelby and Matt, who are telling their story in a documentary-like fashion.
So far, there have been several unsettling events, including human teeth hailing from the sky and a corporal figure holding Shelby’s head underwater while she relaxed in a hot tub, among other things.
The documentary introduced Lee, Matt’s sister played by Angela Basset (reenactor) and Adina Porter (real), who came to stay with Shelby at the house while Matt was away. The two experience a harrowing night where they discover a TV in the basement displaying terrifying images.
Kathy Bates plays a colonial ghost, which Shelby encounters as she tries to flee the house. According to a Season 6 teaser trailer may be a former owner of the house, which she is trying to protect.
It appears former inhabitants of this Roanoke area may have been into devil worship. Some hillbilly neighbors who Shelby and Matt assume may have been racist against them could also be dealing with the same haunting.
What will happen next during American Horror Story: My Roanoke Nightmare ? We will find out in the coming episode called “Chapter 2,” which is best viewed on television or live online through FX Now .
The rest of the story unfolds Wednesday when American Horror Story Season 6 Episode 2 airs at 10 p.m. EDT on FX.
