In Pretty Little Liars Season 7 episode 5, which airs at 8 p.m. EDT Tuesday, more questions arise as Alison leaves Welby State Psychiatric Hospital upon learning the truth about her husband, Elliott Rollins. We learn that Elliott’s name wasn’t actually Elliott, but rather Archer Dunhill. In episode 4, Toby discovered the real Elliott Rollins has been dead since the 1950s and Dunhill took over this identity. Throughout episode 5, Alison is distraught that she had no idea about the true identity of her husband and discovering he truly meant to hurt her.
An episode 5 promo, shows the Aria and Emily discovering the name Archer Dunhill, written in a book. They immediately connect the name to the initials “AD,” which is how their new “Uber A” stalker signs his or her texts. The Liars now believe that Dunhill is AD.
Upon leaving Alison Welby, Aria discovers that she is now in the care of her aunt, Mary Drake, and Aria has suspicions. At this time, viewers know that Elliott or Archer or AD is working with Mary Drake, but the Liars have not yet made a connection between the two.
In episode 4, the Liars discovered their old frenemy Jenna Marshall is back in town. The episode 5 promo reveals she is already causing trouble. A detective reveals to Alison that Archer may not be dead, and was spotted in Boston. She later questions Jenna on his whereabouts. In episode 3, Hanna accidentally ran Archer/Elliott over with her car as she, Spencer, Aria and Emily followed him after he kidnapped Alison from Welby. The Liars buried him in the woods believed he was dead, but this new revelation may make them anxious that AD has a new secret to hold over them, which could get them accused of attempted murder.
