Crafting gears in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is not just a must but it is a journey players need to experience. While all armor and weapons offer something different to the table, they are not created equal. Some of them just stand out, especially those with must-have stats and other benefits. A case in point is the Forgotten Wolves’ School Gear, a level 20+ three-tiered armor set inspired by the Netflix live-action series The Witcher.
So, how do you find the said armor in the game? Read on to find out!
Two major steps are required to complete the diagrams as they split into two locations. It is worth noting that you are not required to complete either of these steps in order, but you need both to craft the gear at all three levels (standard, master-crafted, and grandmaster).
In The Eternal Fire’s Shadow Quest
You need to go to the Devil’s pit and complete the quest called In The Eternal Fire’s Shadow to get the "first" part of the diagrams in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. As soon as you defeat the final creature, you will receive part of the diagrams from the original creator as a token of gratitude for services offered.
If for some reason, you have yet to find the location of the other diagrams, you will be introduced to a quest called Treasure Hunt. The quest will help you find the second half of the diagrams. Do not be worried if you are starting to get restless after the rest of the diagrams because the In the Eternal Fire's Shadow questline is the longer and more tedious side of your crafting journey.
Bookshelves in Kaer Mohen
To get the diagrams in Kaer Morhen in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, you need to unlock the stronghold by completing the storylines in Velen, Novigrad, and Skellige up to and partially including the quest Ugly Baby. All you need to do is walk straight into the main hall of the location and turn left toward the grindstone and the wall of bookshelves.
Remember to climb the ladder to the second level of shelves. From there, just follow them toward the end, where you should be able to acquire both Osmund's and Vesemir's notes. After reading, both will give you the chance to put the two diagrams together and start forging the Forgotten Wolves' School gear.
Crafting the Forgotten Wolves’ School Gear
Of course, CD Projekt Red wants you to go the extra mile, and if you really want to equip the coolest armor and weapons, you need to put in some effort. For crafting the Forgotten Wolves’ School Gear, you need to gather all the necessary components to craft each piece of gear. Keep in mind, though, that some of the parts require necessary and rare crafting materials.
As for how much it would cost you to craft the set, you are going to need more or less 2,000 gold coins, depending on what materials you currently have and lack. Furthermore, the minimum level requirements for each tier must be met before you can even equip the set.
Despite the roller coaster experience, the effort is totally worth it, especially since the gear's stats are one of the most impressive in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt to date.
