The long-announced next-gen update for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is almost within our grasp. After multiple delays from the developer, the update will finally arrive on next-gen consoles and PC, December 14.
The update includes a ton of improvements over the original game, including new content, superior visuals, QoL features, and bug fixes. All of this is completely free for owners of the game.
Players can expect ray tracing, reduced loading times, better textures for characters, a new weather type, and much more. A new camera option closer to Geralt will be available, and Photo Mode will be included. Both AMD FSR 2.1 and NVidia DLSS 3 will be supported as well.
PC players will get “ULTRA+” graphical settings, which will notably improve the visual fidelity of the game. New content inspired by Netflix Witcher TV Show will also be included.
The developer isn’t leaving PS4, Xbox One, or Nintendo Switch players in the dust either. The update for these consoles will be released at a later date, but older consoles won’t receive any graphical improvements. Still, they can get new content and bug fixes.
The developer has revealed the complete patch notes for the upcoming update and we have covered it in great detail in our previous article.
