The Witcher 3 is now a 5-year old game, but it has never felt old. This is largely thanks to the dedicated community of modders who keep brining innovative additions and upgrades to the game. Although there are thousands of mods for The Witcher 3, one mod that has dramatically changed the visuals of the game is the HD Reworked Project.
HD Reworked Project has been a popular visual mod for The Witcher 3 and it has only gotten better with subsequent releases. Modder Halk Hogan posted a video on YouTube confirming that version 11.0 for the HD Reworked Project will be releasing on March 12. The new version of the mod will not only bring new visual adjustments to Toussaint, but also improve several regions in the game.
The HD Reworked Project focuses on enhancing the graphics of The Witcher 3 by reworking textures and models to a better quality while preserving CD Projekt Red's original style. The reworked textures and models offer great sharpness and performance boosts, without causing unnecessary VRAM loss. The mod also works on normal maps, meshes, and level of detail.
As of now, the modder has overhauled the game's environment, building, and terrain. He has also touched upon the vegetation, animals, rocks, water textures. The previous versions of the mod improved over 1,000 textures in the game and Halk Hogan hasn't mentioned whether his next mod release will be a final one or not.
