Call Of Duty: WWII is open for preorders, and the official Call Of Duty website has just revealed a brand new incentive for those who purchase the game digitally on PS4, Xbox One or Steam. From now until Aug. 7, those who buy the game early will get 500 CoD points for Infinite Warfare and 500 CoD Points for Black Ops 3.
The full legal language of the promotion is below:
“Preorder any Digital Edition of Call of Duty: WWII by Aug. 7, 2017, at participating retailers and get access to 500 CP in Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare and 500 CP in Call of Duty Black Ops 3. Offer must be redeemed in each game by Aug. 7, 2017. Offer contents and availability may vary by region and are subject to change. Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare game required to redeem 500 CP associated with Infinite Warfare. Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 game required to redeem 500 CP associated with Black Ops 3.”
Those who decide to indulge in this offer will see the extra CP in their account for each game after WWII downloads. The description above would suggest you’ll be waiting for the full bonus until midnight on Nov. 3. It’s up to the individual to decide if they’ll still be playing those legacy franchise titles once the new one comes out.
Those with a keen memory may recall that Activision ran a similar promotion for the launch of Infinite Warfare last year. The only difference is that, in 2016, preorder customers were able to get 1,000 CP for just Black Ops 3. Since the current Call Of Duty community is split between two games, however, this year’s bonus is as well.
For those totally out of the Call Of Duty loop, CoD Points, or CP, are the main currency through which players can obtain rare Supply Drops with rare weapons or weapon variants. The 500 CP package for each game is a $10 value provided players take advantage of them in both Black Ops 3 and Infinite Warfare.
Of course, that’s not the only bonus being offered for digital reservations. There’s also the added benefit of access to the Call Of Duty: WWII Private Beta that begins Aug. 25 on PS4 and Sept. 1 on Xbox One. Once the final game releases, preorder folks will also unlock a unique Divisions Pack with a collection of premium gear for each of the game’s five divisions . Activision hasn’t given official word regarding the specifics of what that gear will be.
Independent of preorders, Call Of Duty: WWII will also be sold in a variety of standard and special editions ranging from $60 to $100. The rarest package, exclusive to GameStop, features the game, season pass and a limited edition hat with the game’s logo.
Call Of Duty: WWII is available Nov. 3 on PS4, Xbox One and PC.
