If you’re already excited about the upcoming F1 22 video game, be prepared to be even more excited. That’s because Codemasters and Electronic Arts released the first look of the gameplay captured in VR.
VR is one of the many features that PC players can exclusively enjoy when the game officially launches on July 1. This latest peek features Lance Stroll in the Aston Martin AMR22. It shows the claustrophobic feel when sitting in the cockpit and the thrill of racing.

In a statement, F1 Senior Creative Director at Codemasters Lee Mather revealed that VR was able to revolutionize the game on PC and take it to a new level. He added that players will feel what it means to be sitting in the cockpit as well as the experience of seeing 20 cars accelerate to the first corner. Mather went on to say that this is as close to Formula 1 racing that players can get without being on the actual tracks.
Other Features
There are a lot of new features that players can expect when F1 22 comes out. There's the F1 Life hub where players can show off their collection of supercars and customization items. Look forward as well to the return of the 10-year Career feature, which now has a two-player option.
Another exciting feature is the Adaptive AI. It allows players to customize the experience and match it to their current skill level.
F1 22 is coming out on July 1 on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. There is also a PC version via the EA App, Origin, Steam, and the Epic Games Store. Gracing the game’s cover is Charles Leclerc of Scuderia Ferrari, joined by Lando Norris of McLaren and George Russell of Mercedes.
Pre-order is now available for the base game. Players can also pre-order the digital-only Champions Edition, which celebrates four previous champions Lewis Hamilton, Sebastian Vettel, Fernando Alonso, and Max Verstappen. The Champions Edition comes with additional content like the time-limited Miami-influenced pack and three days of early access.
Those who want to enjoy more benefits should get the EA Play Pro membership. Once the game launches, members get to be part of The Pro Play List.
