A new patch for Fallout 4 is out this week, less than a week after being released via Steam Beta, and the fix-focused patch featured a surprising new addition for anyone lamenting the fact that Codsworth won’t vocally refer to their character by name.

More than 300 names have been added to the list of Codsworth-recognized pseudonyms that players could choose to adopt before venturing out into the Commonwealth, thanks to the latest Fallout 4 patch from Bethesda. The expansion of Codsworth’s speaking abilities comes as a shock to the community, which didn’t expect much more than bug fixes for the open-world FPS/RPG, and there are plenty of pop culture references being added alongside more typical names.

Here are some of our favorites:

  • Apollo

  • Arya

  • Biff

  • Cena

  • Joffrey

  • Phasma

  • Poe

  • Starbuck

And here are the patch notes for Fallout 4 Update 1.6, via Bethesda:

NEW FEATURES

  • ExitSave - Exiting to the Main Menu will create an ExitSave. During next play session, the ExitSave will delete itself after you load it. The Exitsave works in all difficulty levels including Survival.

  • New Add On specific icons in Workshop mode

  • More than 300 new player names added to Codsworth's vocabulary

  • Support for upcoming Add Ons

FIXES

  • General stability and performance improvements

  • Fixed a crash related to targeting an enemy weapon while in VATS

  • Fixed an issue where a Companion would become stuck walking and unable to run

  • Fixed issue in "Mankind Redefined" to prevent the player from getting stuck in elevators while in Mass Fusion Building

  • In "Boston After Dark" quest now completes properly when waiting for Old Man Stockton

  • Fixed occasional issue where player would become permanently invisible

  • Dead settlers can no longer be commanded or assigned to supply lines

  • Fixed issue where deleting saved games would cause other saves to disappear

  • Fixed occasional issues with activating mods that did not come from Bethesda.net

  • Minor bug fixes and optimizations to Mods load order and browsing

Those interested in seeing the entire list of new names Codsworth will say can find the complete breakdown over on the Fallout 4 sub-reddit. Unfortunately, there's no word on when the latest Fallout 4 patch will make the jump to PS4 and Xbox One.
