It looks like the battle for the All-Spark has taken an exciting turn as Transformers: Battlegrounds is officially available. In addition to letting players experience intense tactical combat, this new Transformers game also offers an original story. The game has been released for the PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.
Transformers: Battlegrounds features a lot of fan favorites from the franchise like Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, Grimlock, Megatron, and Starscream. The game offers both single and co-op gameplay. The combat itself takes place on a wide range of diverse levels like Central City or Cyberton.

In a statement, the CEO of developer Outright Games, Terry Malham, said that they are honored to be given the chance to work with Hasbro to offer a new take on this highly iconic franchise. He added that they “have grown up with the Transformers Universe and are excited to be involved with the publication of this game.”
Meanwhile, Hasbro SVP of Corporate Strategy and Business Affairs Mark Blecher revealed that over the years the Transformers franchise has spanned different forms of entertainment and that they’re “always excited by a new video game featuring everyone’s favorite bots.” Blecher went on to say that this is truly an “exciting time for the video game industry and we couldn’t be more pleased to launch this new title for fans of all ages to enjoy.”
Players have the choice between the Standard Edition or the Digital Deluxe Edition of Transformers: Battlegrounds. The Digital Deluxe Edition comes with the base game plus some other goodies that include the exclusive CUBE arcade game-mode plus bonus character cosmetics, including four new character skin packs. In the CUBE game mode, Autobots and Decepticons fight against each other in one of four ‘capture the cube’ arena environments.
