The world of Eos in Final Fantasy XV has many secrets and locations to explore. If you want to max out your Armiger and collect all the ancient weapons of the royal line, you might want to take your chances in the tombs/dungeons found in Lucis. The Royal Arms are waiting for you inside.

First, let us warn you you’ll find some of these tombs/dungeons early on in the game, but that doesn’t mean you should enter them. The beasts waiting inside some of these locations are strong and vicious. You’ll want to come back to these locations once you reach a certain level, if you really want to know what’s inside. However, we promise the weapons inside the tombs are well worth the potential headaches.

Check out location the full list of Royal Arms locations in Final Fantasy XV below, along with a level suggestion for each tomb. (For more on how to use the Royal Arms in combat and the stat boosts each provides, click here.)

Tomb of the Clever (level 58 or higher)

Here lies the Bow of the Clever. This tomb is located behind a sealed door inside of the Balouve Mines you encounter in Chapter 2. It’s to the east of Longwythe Rest Area.

Tomb of the Conqueror (any level)

Here lies the Axe of the Conqueror. This tomb is located near the end of the Keycatrich Trench tunnels. You’ll encounter it as part of the main story during Chapter 2.

Tomb of the Fierce (level 30+)

Here lies the Mace of the Fierce. This tomb is located on the Ravatoghan volcano in the far west of the Lucis continent.

Tomb of the Just (any level)

Here lies the Shield of the Just. You can explore this tomb near Cauthess during Chapter 3 and can check it out any time. There are no monsters in this tomb and no dungeon to explore, just pick up the shield from the single-room tomb when you’re in the area and enjoy the HP boost that comes from equipping it! Simple!

Tomb of the Mystic (any level)

Here lies the Blade of the Mystic. You will automatically encounter this tomb during Chapter 4 when you explore the Disc of Cauthess.

Tomb of the Pious (any level)

Here lies the Scepter of the Pious. This weapon is found inside a dungeon in the Malmalam Thicket.

Tomb of the Rogue (level 35+)

Here lies the Star of the Rogue. This tomb is found in the Myrlwood forest and should be easy to get to. It’s in northwest Cleigne, west of the Vesperpool. It should be possible to complete the optional dungeon when you visit the area in Chapter 7.

Tomb of the Tall (level 60+)

Here lies the Sword of the Tall. This tomb is found in the southeast region of Duscae, but you’ll really have to work for it. You must defeat the Jabberwock boss at the Costlemark Tower dungeon, as well as negotiate several difficult puzzles. The entrance to the tower is only open at nighttime.

Tomb of the Wanderer (any level)

Here lies the Swords of the Wanderer. This tomb will be found at the end of the Glacial Grotto dungeon as part of main story events in Chapter 3.

Tomb of the Warrior (any level)

Here lies the Katana of the Warrior. This is the only tomb that isn’t located in Lucis, but you will automatically encounter it in Chapter 10 when you visit Succarpe.

Tomb of the Wise (any level)

Here lies the Sword of the Wise. The tomb is located where you first encounter Cor in Chapter 2. Story events will take your through this dungeon automatically.

REVIEW SUMMARY
Final Fantasy XV
8.5
Combat, Plot, Characters Create Something Flawed, Beautiful, Fantastic
Despite it's flaws, Final Fantasy XV is a milestone achievement: not just for being completed, but for being completed with polish, aplomb and love.
  • Engaging main cast of characters
  • Fun, fast-paced combat
  • A massive, beautiful world to explore
  • The Regalia!
  • Continuous updates have addressed some shortcomings of the initial release
  • Major aspects of the story feel rushed or absent, particularly toward the end of the game
  • Stealth sequences feel out of place
