A new update to Gears of War 4 makes it easier for players to earn Credits, or in-game currency. Not only that, things you can buy with the Credits have seen a price cut.
In a post on the Gears of War forums, a community manager for The Coalition explained the changes with the update.
“The goal of these new changes is to provide a more consistent reward per match for our players, and bring the time required to earn Gear Packs – including the customization focused Elite Pack – closer to our expectations,” the community manager wrote.
The update makes Elite Packs cost 3500 Credits, down from 4000 Credits. The Match Completion bonus earned at the end of a round has been increased as well, giving Versus Multiplayer players more credits simply for completing matches.
It should be noted that there is a known bug with the update, but it’s nothing to worry about. The game might display that you earned 0 Credits for your Match Bonus, but the credits are still being applied. The display error will be fixed in a future update.
The post ends mentioning the team is aware of some matchmaking issues players are experiencing. These issues are being worked on, and a new update should be coming soon to help.
