Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery recently received a new trailer that highlights new features and adventures that have now been added to the mobile game. Hogwarts Mystery has appealed to many longtime Harry Potter fans and newcomers alike. Check out the new Hogwarts Mystery trailer as it urges fans to return to the game and continue their journey:
Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery requires players to create their own wizard or witch and overcome several challenges at Hogwarts. In the new trailer, Hogwarts Mystery reveals new content including Quidditch and more that is now available in the game.
The trailer also showcases some of the many important aspects of Hogwarts Mystery, like forming friendships and bonds with other characters. However, the trailer doesn't show much of the gameplay elements, but teases encounters with dementors, giant spiders, dragons, and more.
Hogwarts Mystery celebrated its second anniversary a few months back, which was when the game also received additional content. Shortly after that, developer Jam City also incorporated a Battle Pass system in the game, calling it "Magical Milestone." The Battle Pass system includes a free and premium track. Players can earn rewards on the Battle Pass by earning XP. The premium track, however, costs $9.99 to unlock, and completing challenges on the premium track unlocks additional rewards.
Players have previously criticized the microtransaction model of Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery. Many players have also stated that the predatory microtransactions in the game are the reason why Hogwarts Mystery is criticized so heavily. Understandably, free-to-play video games do require a monetization strategy, but some players feel that the monetization model implemented in Hogwarts Mystery is geared toward boring players into buying more energy.
However, the game has evolved since launch and if you quit playing the game previously, you might want to revisit it.
Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery is available on Android and iOS.
