Fans got a taste of Iron Fist in an action-packed trailer released at New York Comic Con. We saw Danny Rand’s iconic Iron Fist light up orange from the inside out, as well as the dragon symbol branded on his chest during his battle with Shou-Lau. But with the March 2017 release date quickly approaching, Marvel has gifted IGN with a few exclusive photos. The images feature Danny Rand’s friends and adversaries, focusing on Colleen Wing, Claire Temple, and Joy and Ward Meachum.

Two photos show what looks to be Colleen Wing’s martial arts studio. Danny is doing a demonstration in jeans and sneakers while Colleen and her students watch. Another photo features Colleen, Claire and Danny dressed in all black. Danny’s holding a pair of binoculars and the group appears to be on a stakeout. The last shows Joy and Ward Meachum conducting business at their father’s offices. It appears to be the same location Danny went when he first arrived in New York in a scene previewed at New York Comic Con.

Another scene previewed at the Iron Fist panel also revealed Iron Fist is a sworn enemy of The Hand, who are also Daredevil’s foes at the moment. It’s possible Claire, Danny and Colleen are staking out The Hand. In the final scene of Daredevil Season 2, we see Elektra’s dead body in a stone coffin surrounded by The Hand. It’s safe to assume Elektra is coming back to life, and it probably has something to do with those zombie kids who had their blood drained by The Hand. That’s when Claire quits her job at Metro-General Hospital after refusing to take part in the cover-up of The Hand’s suspicious dead bodies. All of Claire’s knowledge will certainly be an asset to Danny if he hopes to defeat The Hand once and for all.

Could this mean we could see Iron Fist and Daredevil working together this season? Let us know in the comments below! Iron Fist releases on Netflix March 17, 2017.

The Struggle Is Not Real
If you’re looking for shock value, Iron Fist does not have it. Netflix and Marvel have turned an interesting superhero into a basic bro.
  • Colleen Wing is a delight
  • The last four episodes are significantly more entertaining
  • Problematic character development
  • Lackadaisical fight scenes
