Mass Effect: Andromeda’s multiplayer not only has impacts on the single-player storyline, it has it’s own storyline as well. Played out through timed events called APEX Missions, players can experience new weapons, character and items. BioWare has announced that the first APEX Mission is now available to play.
The mission, called “Drack’s Missing Scouts,” has players searching for krogan scout patrols that have gone missing. The patrols were last known to be at Firebase Paradox, a kett-controlled fort built around Remnant artifacts.

Included in the APEX Mission is a limited-time map, Firebase Paradox. Also included is a krogan gladiator character and the Ruzad Shotgun, both available in Store packs. Krogan gladiators excell in close-up combat, and can do a number against enemies with a melee weapon. The Ruzad shotgun is a slow-firing, massive beast of a gun, but can stop enemies in their tracks.
Drack’s Missing Scouts is a limited-time event. The mission is available to play now and will end on March 27. No time was given on when the mission will end, but more APEX Missions will be coming soon. These future missions will probably include more weapons, characters and maps as well, so that’s something to look forward to.
As a reminder, there is an app available just for Mass Effect: Andromeda’s multiplayer. Called the APEX Mission HQ, you can customize your characters, see if friends are online, send your Strike Teams out on missions and more. The app is available for iOS and Android devices.
