Bandai Namco has announced a brand new game based on the original Mighty Morphin Power Rangers television series.
SABAN’S MIGHTY MORPHIN POWER RANGERS : MEGA BATTLE is a side-scrolling beat-em-up that lets players control any of the original Power Rangers as you go through classic stages to fight Puddies and other monsters created by Rita Repulsa.

If you remember the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles games of the arcade and SNES era, this new Power Rangers game is very similar.
Players can pick their favorite Power Ranger and level them up and boost their stats. You’ll be able to use weapons, martial arts and the giant Megazord in battles against Rita’s monsters in Power Rangers: Mega Battle.
SABAN’S MIGHTY MORPHIN POWER RANGERS: MEGA BATTLE will also feature a robust local co-op multiplayer mode where players can combine their powers to execute special attacks and spectacular displays of martial arts power. By utilizing the game’s skill tree, players can use points to learn new moves and abilities.
Again, the art style and playstyle is very similar to TMNT: Turtles in Time and that is not a bad thing. Turtles in Time was one of the best SNES game in history.
Bandai Namco will release Power Rangers: Mega Battle digitally only for PS4 and Xbox One in January 2017.
