The upcoming Monster Hunter film is around the corner. Resident Evil alum Milla Jovovich takes the lead role. The film is set to an early release in the UK on December 4 and Christmas Day in the US.
To celebrate the film's release, Monster Hunter World: Iceborne will launch a limited-time Event Quest on December 4. It's inspired by the same events in the movie. Before the event, all players will get the chance to claim one limited time item pack starting November 27. The pack gives useful items as a log-in bonus in celebration of the film.
The Event Quest is pretty straightforward. But only available for players of at least Master Rank. If you're a Master Rank, you must complete the two parts. The first part pits hunters to Black Diablos like in the film. The second part is the head-to-head battle against the massive Greater Rathalos. This means you need to prepare to fight tooth and claw.
Quest victors will get goodies like special gear, layered armor, new titles, and a new background. There’s also Guild Card poses for winners.
In the Monster Hunter film, a different world is populated by gigantic and dangerous monsters. Jovovich played Captain Artemis, a US Army Ranger, who got transported with her unit to this world through an unexpected sandstorm. Shocked to learn that the monsters appear immune to their firepower.
Battling for survival, they met a hunter who seems to stay a step ahead of these monsters. Artemis and her team later discovered that the hunter is part of a team led by someone known as the Admiral.
Monster Hunter World: Iceborne is an expansion pack of Monster Hunter: World. Not only does it offer a new story and monsters, but also introduces improved gameplay mechanics. The game is available for the PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
