NBA 2K17 is set to release Sept. 20, and those who pre-ordered the next installment of the popular basketball game can pick up the game four days earlier on Sept. 16 with the Early Tip-Off Weekend.
The Early Tip-Off Weekend began with NBA 2K16, and 2K Games decided to bring it back for another year (hopefully this will be an annual thing).
In this year’s installment, NBA 2K17’s MyCareer Mode will follow your character and Michael B. Jordan’s character as they make their way through the NBA to become a dynamic duo to be reckoned with.
If you’re getting NBA 2K17 early, pre-ordering through Gamestop will also net you some sweet in-game bonuses, including:

If you're getting your copy of NBA 2K17 from either Target or Walmart then you'll need to call your local store and find out if they're doing a midnight release event or not. Sometimes the Target/Walmart strategy can pay off, since they're not the sites most gamers go to for midnight releases and the lines can be shorter. However, every location is different so your local store might not be doing a NBA 2K17 midnight release. Use the Target store locator and Walmart store locator to find out which place near you will let you get your game on at 12:01 a.m.
