Hello Games invites you to experience the newest seasonal event for No Man’s Sky. The developers call it Expedition Four: Emergence, and Patch 3.70 brings that to you and a whole lot more.
The new expedition will get you stranded on a place called Wasan - a planet ravaged by dust storms and Titan Worms. Your job is to locate the impact sites where these giant worms reside, destroy them, and collect the Vile Spawn that they leave behind.
As you cleanse several planets affected by the Titan Worms, there will be clues that you need to collect to find out who is behind all of this.
According to the devs, this is the first expedition in No Man’s Sky with a compelling story all throughout.
New Content and Improvements
Because you will come across a lot of Titan Worms in Emergence, you will find more varied designs of such creatures. You will see those with the three-part jaw and four-part jaws that can eat anything - living or dead.
Particle effects have also been improved. You can expect richer details of meteors, explosions, laser impacts, and more throughout the game.
In addition, you will be given exclusive rewards when you complete the Emergence storyline. For instance, you will have the chance to acquire the Ghastly Trail customization that will apply a uniquely organic effect every time you use your Jetpack.
Maybe you want to spruce up your base with the Titanic Trophy, which is a large legless cousin of the Titan Worm. Place this anywhere in your base so that everyone will know that you’ve killed one of these insanely huge monsters.
