A familiar face will reappear this fall when ABC’s Once Upon a Time returns for a sixth season. TVLine reports actress Jessy Schram will reprise her role as Cinderella, who was last seen in Season 4.
In the new season, Cinderella will appear in Season 6 episode 3, titled The Other Shoe. The episode will reveal Cinderella’s connection to the Land of Untold Stories — the mysterious land whose citizens were transported to Storybrooke in the Season 5 finale. The third episode of the upcoming season will also explore Snow’s (Ginnifer Goodwin) friendship with Cinderella, which was first introduced in the flashbacks of Season 1 episode 4.
The show will be debuting a new Disney princess in Season 6: Jasmine. At the San Diego Comic-Con panel, it was announced that Galavant alum Karen David has been cast to play Jasmine with Deniz Akdeniz and Oded Fehr playing Aladdin and Jafar, respectively.
In addition to new faces, Season 6 will feature a new structure for the show.
“The paradigm for what Season 6 will be is a little bit different than what we've done the last few years, and we're very excited by it. It involves our core group of characters, Storybrooke and flashing back to other realms,” said Horowitz to The Hollywood Reporter. “It doesn't necessarily mean a journey to someplace else. I think at the end of the finale you'll get a little bit of a taste of how we're going to approach it — it's both a little something old and something new.”
Once Upon a Time returns Sunday, Sept. 25 at 8 p.m. EDT on ABC.
