Pokémon Go is all set to end Season 3 of its Go Battle League. However, that also means that Season 4 is going to be begin. Officially, Season 4 kicks off on September 14 at 4:00 PM EDT.
Before we go into the details of Season 4, the end-of-season rewards for Season 3 are going to be available on the game’s Battle screen. This includes an Elite Charged TM for Trainers who managed to reach at least rank 7.
According to the Pokémon Go team at developer Niantic, Season 4 is going to follow a similar rotation as that of Season 3. Keep in mind that the dates are tentative and may change. The schedule as of right now is:
- The Great League
- Start: September 14 at 4:00 PM EDT
- End: September 28 at 4:00 PM EDT
- The Ultra League and its Premier Cup
- Start: September 28 at 4:00 PM EDT
- End: October 12 at 4:00 PM EDT
- This Premier Cup is going to have a 2,500 CP limit.
- The Master League and its Premier Cup
- Start: October 12 at 4:00 PM EDT
- End: October 26 at 4:00 PM EDT
- This Premier Cup is going to have no CP limit.
- The all-new Halloween Cup
- Start: October 26 at 4:00 PM EDT
- End: November 3 at 4:00 PM EDT
- In this format, only Poison-, Ghost-, Bug-, Dark-, and Fairy-type Pokémon are allowed.
- Trainers can earn reward encounters with Bulbasaur, Charmander, and Squirtle, all wearing Halloween costumes.
- The Halloween Cup is going to have a 1,500 CP limit.
- All three leagues and the Premier Cup (no CP limit)
- Start: November 3 at 4:00 PM EDT
- End: November 9 at 4:00 PM EDT
For Season 4, there’s going to be some changes which include:
- Rank progression is going to be changing in Season 4.
- Trainers can reach rank 2 by completing a certain number of battles,
- Trainers can reach ranks 3 through 9 by winning certain numbers of battles.
- Trainers still need to reach a rating of 3,000 to reach rank 10.
- The end-of-season rewards is going to be similar to those in Season 3.
- Stardust from rank 1 to rank 3
- Stardust, TMs, and a Raid Pass from rank 4 to rank 10
- Trainers that reach rank 10 can earn a brand-new avatar pose.
- Trainers that finish Season 4 at rank 7 or higher can receive an Elite Fast TM rather than an Elite Charged TM.
