Niantic has finally released the very first details for Pokémon Go's November Community Day. The upcoming event is expected to arrive on Saturday, November 16, and the featured pocket monster this time is none other than the fire-type starter from Pokémon Diamond and Pearl, Chimchar.
Throughout next month’s Community Day, Chimchar is expected to appear in the wild much more often than its normal spawn rate. This simply gives players the perfect opportunity to gather Chimchar Candy and stock up, especially since they will need these candies to evolve the Pokémon into Infernape. As usual, if players can evolve it up to two hours after the Community Day ends, their Infernape will be able to learn a special event-exclusive move.
November's Community Day is also going to be the very first time players will have the opportunity to capture a Shiny Chimchar in Pokémon Go. Plus, Pokémon eggs are said to hatch at a quarter of their normal distance during the event, and as always, any Lure Modules used will remain active for at least three hours rather than the usual 30 minutes.
Like the past two Community Days in the game, next month’s event will take place early in the day, specifically around 11 AM to 2 PM local time.
Of course, November's Community Day is not the only event Niantic is hosting in the near future. Pokémon Go’s annual Halloween celebration is already here and ends on November 1. During this period, players are expected to encounter costume-wearing versions of Bulbasaur, Charmander, and Squirtle in Raid Battles. Pikachu, on the other hand, can be seen sporting a Mimikyu costume and can be found in the wild. There will also be increased Ghost and Dark Pokémon spawns, and the Legendary Darkrai will make its debut in five-star Raids.
Following the Halloween event, the studio is going to reintroduce the Regi trio – Regirock, Registeel, and Regice. These pocket monsters will be seen in Raids from November 1 to 4, which is just ahead of Regigigas' debut in EX Raids later in the month.
