It took some time but the undead is returning to PUBG. There’s still time to prepare since they’ll be dropping by first over at LABS. In Zombie Survival, players must survive waves of zombies. The more zombies are taken down, the more coins and weapons earned.
For those new to the game, PUBG Labs is a way to test planned new things for the game. It can be new game modes, new features, or even new rule sets. This is not like the test server though, which remains to be the method of testing usual content updates. You can read more about this and the first feature tested here.
Rules of the Game
Let’s start with the rules of the match. Players need to survive a total of 10 waves of zombies with each wave lasting three minutes. To move to the next stage, the squad needs to kill all the zombies or have at least one member stay alive after the time limit. If the whole squad is eliminated, the game ends.
Once each stage is cleared, the squad is given a 20-second break before the next wave starts. Players eliminated in the previous stage come back alive and join the next wave.
For each succeeding wave, not only do the number of zombies increase but they also get stronger. In addition, players need to prepare and watch out for special zombies.
What else do you need to know? At the start of each game, players are equipped with these:
- Deagle
- 60EA .45 ACP
- Backpack (Level 3)
- 1 Frag Grenade
Players can buy equipment and even stronger weapons as well.
Survival Coins
During each wave, players earn Survival Coins when they kill zombies. Survival Coins are added to the inventory but have a maximum total of 999. There are two things to remember when it comes to these coins. The first is that they can’t be dropped. The second is that when a player respawns, they get the same number of coins they had at the start of the game.
