Season 3 of Rocket League Sideswipe is finally here. There are a lot of new things to enjoy like the 3v3 and Spectator Modes. This highlight would probably be the introduction of the Rocket Pass Rewards.
Let’s start with Threes Mode, which replaces Volleyball Mode. This new mode features six players in strategic 3v3 action. It’s played on the new Longfield Arena with the addition of offscreen indicators to allow players to better track their teammates.
Spectator Mode, meanwhile, is where players can take their game to the next level. This nifty mode allows players to analyze Private Matches.
Before we take a look into what the Rocket Pass has to offer, it’s worth mentioning that with a new season here, Season 2 is ending. Players get season-exclusive Banners based on their peak rank during Season 2.
Rocket Pass Rewards
As mentioned, the game finally has Rocket Pass Rewards. Prepare to see new cars added to the roster which are the Marauder, Mantis, and Takumi. There’s also the Yoked1K Wheels for heavy lifters or the Lv 50 Force Razor Goal Explosion.
New Features
Other new features introduced for Season 3 are:
- Offscreen Indicators
- Easily view the position of other players or the ball when offscreen.
- Players can edit offscreen indicator settings in the options menu to their liking.
- New Camera Zoom Method in Game Settings
- Focused method to keep player car always visible.
- Zoomed-out method that shows all of the match action on screen.
- New Match Intro Sequence

- Players can now access the pause menu during the winners celebration dance and even re-queue faster.

- New Challenge stages added.
- Players can now complete as many as four new stages of Challenges throughout the Season.

- Taller Quick Chat feed.
- Players can now see 4 Quick Chats instead of 3.
