It’s official. The Sims 4: Cats & Dogs releases on Nov. 10. There’s an all new Create-A-Pet tool, the most extensive pet customization tool ever seen in the franchise. This allows players to choose from a range of breeds, personality traits, and you can even start from puppies and kittens. Go for a jog with your dog on a leash, give them a bath, and even go for a swim together. The best part of this pack so far is that you can bring home a stray! View the trailer here.
"Just like in real life, they make our life richer and sillier and cuddlier," Executive Producer Lyndsay Pearson announced at Gamescom.
Customize your pets with patterns or spots and stripes to match your furry friend at home. Add special outfits and accessories and tailor the personality traits to make each pet unique. And of course, players will be able to train and play with pets in a new coastal world, Brindleton Bay. Play fetch near the docks, walk to the lighthouse, mingle with other pet-owners in the park, or set up an obstacle course. Cats & Dogs also includes a brand new career: veterinarian. Hire a dedicated staff and diagnose and cure pets of fleas and other more serious illness.
"The Sims 4 Cats & Dogs offers fans some of the cutest, most charming pets ever seen in The Sims. From dogs and cats to puppies and kittens, the new tools for customizing pets are so flexible and powerful, players can really create anything they can imagine,” said Pearson. “We know how much our community values four-legged friends as part of their families and I am thrilled at what the team has been able to bring to life.”
For those following leaks and gossip, this announcement comes as welcome confirmation, not a surprise. This expansion pack has been rumored for the better part of the last year and was even teased in the Parenthood game pack with a paw print patch on the blue jean jacket.
