A Skate 4 release rallying cry has hijacked the instagram comments on a recent post from game publisher EA, but isn’t the only incident where fans took to social media to demand a sequel for the beloved franchise. Yesterday’s incident occurred on the post where EA announced their upcoming gaming convention EA Play.
Almost all of the 400+ comments involve Skate 4 in some way. Some comments even call for a boycott on EA until Skate 4 is released. “ Let's just no longer buy ea games until skate 4 is released . Sounds good, okay let's go,” said Instagram user axxpebble.
In this post from a few weeks ago , EA asked which game fans were most excited about - Star Wars Battlefront, Plants vs Zombies: Garden Warfare 2, Unravel, and Mirror’s Edge Catalyst. Even when prompted to pick between one of the four games, fans still flooded the comments with Skate 4.
Now, I may be horribly biased due to the fact that I love the Skate franchise more than most things in life. Seeing Skate 4 would be the best thing to come out of E3 for me, regardless of what else gets announced.
The fans are demanding Skate 4. So am I. Are you listening, EA? Hello?
