The Splatoon 2 Global Testfire is almost here and to get ready for the weekend-long event, Nintendo has released the official schedule for when Nintendo Switch owners can get in on all the ink-splatting action.
Switch owners can download the Splatoon 2 Global Testfire demo now for free on the Nintendo eShop. Simply go to the Nintendo eShop on the home menu or go to your News tab and the Splatoon 2 Global Testfire announcement should be there with a download link.
Once you’ve downloaded the demo, players won’t be able to access the actual demo until the following times:
Friday, March 24
3-3:59 p.m. EST
11-11:59 p.m. EST
Saturday, March 25
3-3:59 p.m. EST
11-11:59 p.m. EST
Sunday, March 26
7-7:59 a.m. EST
Players can use the Nintendo Switch Pro Controller or Joy-Con controllers (or in portable mode) to try out all the weapons, including the brand new Splat Dualies that give your Inkling twice the firepower. However, that doesn’t mean classic weapons like the Splat Roller or Splat Charger won’t have their uses, as they have been “remixed” to allow for new battle strategies.
If you don’t have a Nintendo Switch but want to see some awesome Splatoon 2 gameplay, Nintendo Treehouse will stream gameplay on Friday, March 24 starting at 3 p.m. EST on the official Nintendo website.
Splatoon 2 will release for the Nintendo Switch this summer.
