Steven Universe returns from hiatus on Jan. 30. That same week we’ll be getting a Stevenbomb, with five new episodes airing Monday through Thursday. Turns out the episode that ends our Steven Universe intermission is a big one: two-parter “Steven’s Dream” and “Adventures in Light Distortion.” Here’s the episode list ( via TheGeekiary ):
Monday, Jan. 30: “Steven’s Dream” – A strange dream prompts Steven to search for answers.
Monday, Jan. 30: “Adventures in Light Distortion” – Steven and the Gems take off on a search and recovery mission.
Tuesday, Jan. 31: “Gem Heist” – The Gems try to pull off a heist.
Wednesday, Feb. 1: “The Zoo” – Steven visits a special zoo.
Thursday, Feb. 2: “That Will Be All” – Steven and the Gems make a daring escape!
Our most recent episode, “ Three Gems and a Baby,” gave us a peek into Steven’s past with a lengthy flashback into his infancy – and how both Greg and the Gems reacted to the absence of Pearl and the presence of this brand-new being. The Thanksgiving special, ominously titled “ Gem Harvest, ” introduced us to one of Greg’s estranged family members, making it clear that Steven’s heritage is as important on its human side as its Gem side.
But we haven’t had too much forward movement on the larger Gem plot yet, much to some folks’ dismay, so this Gem-heavy Stevenbomb should be just the thing to bring the Gem plot into the New Year. Each episode starts at 7PM, so set your TiVo now.
