New Pokken Tournament Character To Be Announced Jan. 15; Will We Get Another Mega Pokemon?

The last character in the Tekken/Pokemon mashup, Pokken Tournament was Sceptile. But the days prior to its reveal the official Pokken Tournament Twitter page teased the announcement and even gave fans a clue to try and guess.

Well, the Pokken Tournament team is at it again and this time with another new character and tease.

The new Pokken Tournament character will be announced on Jan. 15 and thanks to the official Pokken Tournament website there is another clue. First, here’s the official Pokken Tournament announcement of a new character. Check it out below.

As for the hint from the Pokken Tournament website, Serebii translated the page and found that the next character spot will go to a Pokemon that has the Japanese character "ラ" in its name.

The current roster for Pokken Tournament is Blaziken, Sceptile, Machamp, Lucario, Pikachu, Pikachu Libre, Suicune, Weavile, Gardevoir, Charizard, Gengar and Shadow Mewtwo.

So who could this new mystery fighter in Pokken Tournament be? Like we did for the Sceptile mystery, we’re going to list the Pokemon that are the likeliest to be entered in the Pokemon fighting game.

Some stipulations first , guessing the new fighter in Pokken Tournament leaves us with a few names that make the most sense. Again, these are fully evolved Pokémon who are not already support Pokémon or whose pre-evolved form is a support Pokémon.

So here’s the list of new addition to Pokken Tournament separated by generation for easy viewing. We have bolded the most likely choices but as we saw with some of the already announced fighters, anything is possible.

And let us know if we forgot anyone and which would be your first choice if any of the listed Pokémon were to be chosen down in the comments section.

We’ll also bold the names that have a Mega Evolution, giving them a slight edge to be chosen. So without further ado, here’s our guesses for the next Pokken Tournament fighter.
