The latest DLC for Terraforming Mars is now available. Hellas & Elysium continues the taming of the Red Planet with the addition of two new maps. Some changes are also made to the Awards and Milestones to allow more strategic opportunities.
The two new maps are:
- Hellas
- Brings the Hellas Sea and the South Pole.
- Two new placement bonuses:
- The first one yields heat.
- The other one gives players an ocean tile in exchange for 6 Megacredits.
- Players need to be swift as such great deals only come once.
- Elysium
- Located on the other face of the planet.
- Peppered with some highly-valuable placement bonuses, mostly situated on the Olympus Mons and similar volcanic sites.
- Players need to grab them quickly or risk losing them forever.
As mentioned, new strategic opportunities are here with the changes on Awards and Milestones present in Terraforming Mars. From the Space Baron award and Polar Explorer milestone of Hellas to the unique Estate dealer title objective of Elysium.
The Hellas & Elysium DLC is now available on PC ($6.99), iOS ($3.99), and Android ($4.49)
Terraforming Mars i s a strategic turn-based game and an adaptation of the board game of the same title. It offers all content and features from the board game, such as the draft variant. It was developed with the help of Jacob Fryxelius, the original designer.
In the game, players take on the role of a corporation that launches a project to transform Mars into a habitable planet by building facilities, researching innovative technologies, and managing resource productions. Players can take up the challenge of Terraforming Mars either in solo or in multiplayer.
The game previously received its first DLC titled Prelude. Terraforming Mars is available for $19.99 on PC through Steam, GOG, Epic Game Store and Humble. For PC, players need to have a dual-core 3.0 GHz CPU, 4 GB RAM, and 250 MB available space storage.
It’s also available on iOS through the App Store at $8.99 and Android through Google Play at $8.99. The mobile versions need to have at least iOS 10 or Android 6.0.
