The wait is finally over as Trials of Mana is now officially out. This game is available for the PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC through Steam. That’s not all, as those who buy Trials of Mana before May 21 get the Rabite Adorment. This is a special in-game item that allows players to get more experience from battles up to level 10.
For those new to Trials of Mana, the game has players choose three characters from a roster of six. Each character offers their own skills, strengths, and stories. That’s right. Depending on which character you choose, the narrative is going to play out differently.
So who are the characters? As mentioned there are six of them and these are:
- Angela
- She is the daughter of the True Queen of Altena, the kingdom of magicians. She was weak when it came to magic, resulting in an embarrassment for her mother. It wasn’t a surprise when her mother, along with the Crimson Wizard, try to make her sacrifice herself which then resulted in her power finally emerging.
- Charlotte
- She is a granddaughter of Wendel’s Priest of Light. She looks younger than she is and this is due to living a sheltered life and having Elven blood.
- Duran
- He is a swordsman that hails from the Kingdom of Valsena. Unable to defend his home in the past, he has vowed to become stronger.
- Hawkeye
- A thief that hails from the desert fortress of Nevari. Despite having what seems to be a laid-back attitude, he is a fast-thinker, skilled, and most important of all, loyal to his friends.
- Kevin
- He is the heir to the throne of the Kingdom of Ferolia, which is located in the land of Beastmen. Raised by his father to be a fighting machine, he continues to have a friendship with a wolf pup.
- Riesz
- A princess of Laurent as well as the leader of the Amazon Guard. Strong, yet compassionate, Riesz remains dedicated to her family.
If you’re not sure which characters you want to start with, Trials of Mana has a personality quiz you can answer here to get an idea.
Players also have the chance to use the new Abilities system, which lets them upgrade their heroes with important stat bonuses and magic spells, among others. The system offers enough flexibility with more than 300 Abilities available to unlock.
Trials of Mana is available for $49.99.
