Let's cut to the chase: As we expected, AMC announced The Walking Dead Season 7 release date at San Diego Comic-Con. The AMC hit show returns for its seventh season on Oct. 23 at 9 p.m. and released a new badass trailer as well.
The Walking Dead Season 6 ended with a massive cliffhanger and fans have been desperate to find out who will ultimately meet the business end of Negan's Lucille. Rick's group are in a dire situation and we're definitely anxious to see how they will wrestle out of the clutches of The Saviors.
New characters are expected to appear in the upcoming season as well – Morgan and Carol were taken in by The Kingdom, a large community of survivors that ride horses and don homemade armor. The Walking Dead Season 7 will also explore "King" Ezekiel – played by Khary Payton, the voice of Cyborg in Teen Titans and Teen Titans Go! – and Shiva, his pet tiger, which he raised back when he was a zookeeper before the zombie apocalypse.
