2019 is a big year for Blizzard, as it marks the 15th anniversary of their flagship title, the MMO role-playing game World of Warcraft. To celebrate this momentous year, Blizzard has already announced some very big and special plans for BlizzCon later this year, as well as the upcoming release of World of Warcraft Classic, which got its release date yesterday.
For the players who stuck around during those 15 years, Blizzard also announced a commemorative collector’s edition of World of Warcraft, packed with special items available for the first time ever. The World of Warcraft 15th Anniversary Collector’s Edition is now available for pre-purchasing through Blizzard’s Gear Store, and you can find more details for it down below.
The set contains a trove of collector’s items, all celebrating the history of Azeroth, including:
- Ragnaros Statue – A 10+ inch scale fully-detailed figurine of Ragnaros the Firelord, one of the most iconic bosses in World of Warcraft.
- Onyxia Pin – A pin for collectors, modeled after the head of Onyxia, Broodmother of the Black Dragonflight.
- Map of Azeroth Mouse Pad – A mouse pad detailing the various locations in the world of Azeroith, the setting of World of Warcraft this past 15 years.
- Fine Art Prints – A collection of eight very frameable fine art prints detailing various sights in World of Warcraft.
- 30 Days of Game Time – A free month’s worth of subscription time for World of Warcraft, which you’ll need to enjoy the celebrations for the game.
- Alabaster Mounts – Special, commemorative, in-game mounts for your characters in World of Warcraft. Featuring the Alabaster Stormtalon for Alliance characters, and the Alabaster Thunderwing for Horde characters.
As a special offer, the Alabaster mounts will be made available to all players who want one, and it will be made available at an earlier time. The mounts will be purchasable as a standalone bundle on the Blizzard Shop and World of Warcraft’s in-game shop in August, so stay tuned for more details on that.
