We already know which wrestlers will appear in WWE 2K18 when the game heads to PC and consoles next month, thanks to the annual roster reveals from WWE and IGN. And now via Twitter, 2K has filled in the blanks of the game’s DLC schedule as well, with details that reveal the various NXT and WWE Superstars who will join the WWE 2K18 roster after launch.
The announcement technically began on Monday night with confirmation that the Hardy Boyz will finally make their return to a WWE video game after a seven year absence (eight for Jeff). And the names kept coming on Tuesday, dubbed “WWE 2K18 DLC Day”, via the WWE Games Twitter account.
Here’s the full list:
Aleister Black
Beth Phoenix
Drew McIntyre
Elias
Lars
Jeff Hardy
Matt Hardy
Ricky Morton
Robert Gibson
Ruby Riot
Additional details are scarce at this time. While we know all of the aforementioned WWE performers will come from the WWE 2K18 Season Pass, we don’t know what order they’ll debut or how many DLC packs they’ll be divided between. Recent WWE 2K releases have typically split roster additions into the same categories WWE uses – Alumni, NXT and current Superstars – but it’s possible we’ll see a bit of mixing and matching this time around.
WWE also shared a new look at the motion capture process for this year’s wrestling game. Some fans might be surprised to hear Shane McMahon took part in the process this year, considering the current general manager of SmackDown Live is 47 years old and doesn’t spend nearly as much time competing in the squared circle as he did during the Attitude Era. But a press release from 2K said a proper digitization of his ring entrance and combination punches was important to “Shane O Mac.”

WWE 2K18 is in development for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC. The game hits PS4, Xbox and Steam on Oct. 17; however, there’s still only a Fall 2017 timeline for the Switch port.
