Developer Cold Iron Studios has deployed a new patch for Aliens: Fireteam Elite that introduced some pretty good changes to the Doc class. The devs have implemented some fixes as well, including a fix for the Doc’s Trauma Station ability where the energy bar may display inaccurate values, among many others.
Doc Class Improvements
Every fireteam in Aliens should consist of a Doc. That is because they have interesting abilities that will definitely serve the entire team.
The latest update has improved the Trauma Station as you can now gain energy for the mobile medic whenever any teammate picks up an Aid Kit. Back then, the Doc should be the only one to get those kits to recharge the station, but this change will certainly be favorable for the party. If there are two Docs in the team, the energy will be split accordingly.
Another important change to the Trauma Station is that when you use its Ability Replacers, like the Suppression station and Painkiller Station, you will no longer need energy to deploy them.
Lastly, the HUD will now present you with a notification to show how much energy has been replenished after picking up an Aid Kit. This should make it easier for you to find out if your Trauma Station has been fully recharged or not.
