It seems that there is an incentive to clean your vents after all. Among Us’ latest update introduces the new vent cleaning task, new languages, and various bug fixes.
Cleaning Vents
The biggest feature introduced in the latest update is the vent cleaning task. It is basically what you think it is. You simply clean your dusty old vents and rid them of spider webs, leftover pizza, and other debris.
Now, what’s the advantage of doing this? Well, once the vents have been polished, impostors can no longer use them. It is important to note that the impostors can still hide in uncleaned vents, though they will be booted out once you start cleaning them.
New Languages
The developers want the game to be enjoyed by as many people as possible. That is why the latest update also adds new language support for Simplified and Traditional Chinese, as well as Irish translations.
Bug Fixes
Last month, the developers added the Geoff Keighley eyepatch to the game. It was originally a full mask that was awarded via Twitch Drops to anyone who has watched the Game Awards 2020 stream. Then, it was later changed to a small eye patch.
The update turned the small, less obnoxious eyepatch back into the original, full face mask of the Game Awards executive producer and host. Whether that is a good change or not is up to you.
Aside from that, the annoying bug where you will get stuck in place after a meeting and the broken scaling of the “SHHH” screen has finally been fixed.
Here are the other bug fixes:
- Clouds in the Airship no longer move in the wrong direction.
- Upload Data phone colors fixed.
- All major buttons are now localized.
- Android black screen fixed. This was fixed in a small hotfix already for Android in version 2021.6.16, but just in case you missed that update, it’s fixed now!
- iOS startup crash fixed. This was also fixed in a small hotfix!
- Other minor visual and localization bug fixes.
The Among Us Update 2021.6.30 is now available on Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, Nintendo Switch, Android, iOS, and PC.
