Speculation, and emotions, are running high heading into Arrow Season 5 episode 10, the midseason premiere. After we finally fully came to terms with the loss of Katie Cassidy’s Black Canary, she showed up in the Arrow bunker unexpectedly with a cute little, “Hi Ollie,” as if nothing ever happened. Goddammit Laurel. So now we are left with a bunch of questions and three weeks until we find out whether Laurel is actually real, or if it’s all some ruse put on by Prometheus or Black Siren.
Hardcore Arrow fans have run through just about every resurrection scenario--the Lazarus Pit, White Canary secretly saving Laurel, Damien Darhk changing history, Black Siren’s escape--but one Reddit user has won the craziest theory of all award, and the worst part is, it could be true.

YonkouProductions claims to have seen the episode and says the post is a summary of what he/she saw. Of course, there is no way to verify the authenticity of this post, but the user has revealed spoilers that ended up being true in the past. Most recently, for the Legends of Tomorrow Season 2 premiere, “Out of Time” ( check out the post here ). However, this summary is awkwardly written and contains some plot holes that can’t possibly be answered without actually seeing the episode. So either this is just a shitpost to fool an antsy thread full of fans or there’s some truth to it because I don’t think any Arrow fan is crazy enough to predict what’s below.

Here are the main points of the post:
-White Canary Saves Laurel
Damien Darhk killed Laurel but she says she saw a “white light” that ended up being her sister, White Canary. Laurel was taken back to the Waverider and saved by Gideon. The Waverider dropped her back off with Oliver in Star City.
-Earth 2 Laurel Reveals Herself
Turns out she’d been pretending to be Earth-1 Laurel. We also see this in the episode 10 promo where Laurel reveals herself to be Black Siren. Black Siren reveals she was freed by Prometheus, but ultimately turns on him and wants to help Team Arrow. However, Oliver locks her up in ARGUS anyway.
-Another Sonic Scream
This is the tricky part of the post. The user originally says there are both an Earth-1 Laurel and Earth-2 Laurel in play. So it’s unclear if the original Laurel we see in the bunker is Earth-1 Laurel, then Earth-2 Laurel comes in pretending to be her after Prometheus helps her escape from Star Labs.
The post also describes a scene where Felicity takes Laurel’s DNA and it matches with Earth-1 Laurel, ruling out an evil twin or doppleganger like Earth-2 Laurel, who would have noticeably different DNA because she’s a metahuman.
The user reports the sonic scream comes at the very end of the episode, meaning it can’t be from Black Siren since she’s locked away. This means the scream could be from Earth-1 Laurel or a totally new Black Canary.
One theory is the sonic scream could belong to a new character named Tina set to debut in the latter half of Season 5. Juliana Harkavy will play Tina, a former Central City Police Detective. However, considering the character description says she hates vigilantes, I can’t imagine she’d be one herself.
While this post could hold some truth to it, it’s still not really clear whether the version of Laurel who originally appeared in the bunker is from Earth-1 or Earth-2, or if they are both alive somehow. If YoukouProductions isn’t current with Arrow, it’d be easy to make a mistake differentiating Earth-1 and Earth-2 Laurel in the summary. Black Siren is certainly the easiest way to bring Laurel back, but both versions of Laurel being alive would be a huge twist moving forward.
