The Breath of the Wild climbing gear is among the most useful of all the different outfits in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. The Climbing outfit, increases Link’s climbing speed and climbing stamina and comes in three parts: the Climbing gear, the Climber’s bandana and the Climbing boots. These items are all located out across the world, but we know where you need to go to find them.
The Climbing Gear is located in the Hateno Tower region in the Chaas Qeta Shrine. The easiest way to find the Shrine is to go to the Hateno Research Lab and face south, you’ll see the Shrine sitting out at sea. Some careful gliding can get you out to Tenoko Island, but there’s also a boat docked on the coast nearby so if you have a Korok Leaf you can sail out to the shrine that way, too.Climbing Gear alone increases climbing speed, and increases climbing stamina with the full set.
The Climber’s bandana can be found in the Ree Dahee Shrine, which is mostly east, slightly southeast of the Dueling Peaks Tower. This shrine can be found between the Dueling Peaks mountains. Look on the north shore of the river, along a cliff road. The Climber’s bandana increases climbing speed by itself, and also contributes to an increased climbing stamina when combined with the other two. There’s another shrine nearby, Shee Vanath, so if you find that first head to the northeast to get to Ree Dahee.
The last piece of equipment needed is the Climbing boots. These can be found at the Tahno O’ah Shrine, which is nestled away in a small cave northeast of the Hateno Research Lab. Go up into the snowy mountains and look for some tall pine trees to find the cave entrance. Like the other two, the Climbing boots will increase climbing speed by themselves, and will increase climbing stamina when combined to form a set.
