It seems that glaive users will be happy with the latest update for Destiny 2. That’s because Hotfix 4.0.0.5 provides some key changes to glaives and the Firmly Planted perk.
The glaive is a new weapon type introduced in The Witch Queen expansion that does a few things. If you think this weapon is only meant for close range, that’s not the case. You see, this weapon shines when you use its projectile because it not only damages opponents but each successful hit charges the special block gauge as well.
Glaives are capable of blocking most attacks. In fact, they can even protect you from certain Supers, such as the Titan’s hammer and the Hunter’s Golden Gun. That said, glaives can now reach full charge after landing four successful projectile hits, so you can use block more often and with fewer hits required.
In addition, Hotfix 4.0.0.5 reduces the effectiveness of the Firmly Planted perk by 50%. This perk increases weapon stability, accuracy, and handling when firing while crouched. Fortunately, the reduction only affects fusion rifles, so this perk is still pretty good when using other weapons that have it.
